Meet the Blogger

Greetings, my fellow tech enthusiasts! My name is Shane Hall, and I am honored to have all of you join me in our grand pursuit for knowledge regarding the latest technologies and cyber news available. Whether you are interested in computers, information security, networking topics, or if you are simply here to view my own academic achievements and posts about what I’ve been up to, I welcome you. Perhaps you are new to networking, plan to make a career out of it, and are looking for some fun things to try, hobbyist projects to take on, etc. If that is the case, stay tuned for more posts to come that will enable you to get a jump start on what will be an exciting occupation. With the IT industry ever-booming, companies will appreciate having all hands on deck as we press forward in creating new, innovative ideas on a daily basis. As such, it goes without saying that IT will always be changing and shifting with the advancements of tomorrow.

I want to emphasize that it is never too late to start learning about the facets of IT. I primarily come from a medical-oriented background, that is, I was on track to enroll as a Pre-Med student where I later pursued phlebotomy, clinical lab, and even radiology for a time (you can learn more about my prior education in the My Academic Journey section under About Me).

It wasn’t until I built my very first computer in 2019 that I found myself fully enamored by the innerworkings of technology and how computers function. I have a buddy of mine to thank for suggesting I try building one, because it literally changed my life for the better. Since then, I studied at Bellevue College where I not only obtained my Bachelor’s in Information Systems with a focus on Cybersecurity, but also some industry-related certifications as well.

Outside of IT and cybersecurity, I fervently enjoy activities that allow myself to appreciate the great outdoors. There is something to be said for the tranquility and comfort such environments provide when trying to take a breather from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As such, I frequent destinations such as Mt. Rainier to relax and admire the grandeur of nature.

Please feel free to send me a message via my contact methods on the homepage with any questions, comments, or inquiries you might have. Glad to have all of you here, and here’s hoping I can shed some light on what makes technology a truly worthy endeavor.
